I'll pay somewhere between $45 and $60 (depending on the pup of course) for a zebra or double cream/creme neck pickup. Now this can include bridge models that sound good in the neck as well.
I have a 59b in the neck, and it sounds really good but the bass is slightly too boomy, and there aren't quite enough mids.
So Jazz bridge or neck, A2P bridge or neck, PGn, etc. I'm looking for low to medium output, vintage-y sounding. I don't use distortion too often, but I need a pickup that can handle distortion when I use it (I'm liking the distorted rythym on the 59b a lot).
Anyone got anything? Thanks! I'll even go Dimarzio, but that's a reach.
The problem with DMZ is that I don't know anything about their pups, but I know a lot about the A2P/Jazz/PG, etc.
