WTB: Distortion Pedal

I have a Boss MT-2, and in short i want something that sucks less. I'd like for someone to convince me why I should get a certain distortion pedal, and if you're selling it, I'll buy it! I'm looking for something versatile all the way from blues break-up to ... i guess the lighter side of metal. It should get pretty heavy if I want it to. I like a smooth distortion usually, but again, looking for something versatile. Any advice appreciated as well. Thanks =]

I'm selling my MI Audio crunch box still. it would be good for you. just saying

basically sounds like a hot rodded marshall in a box. So it can do metal but not anything too brootalz. not at all a overdrive. it is suposed to turn a clean amp into a rocker. But it sounds great boosting a already overdriven front end too.

its a Version 2 which means it has a internal trim knob for presence to match it to the high end content in your clean signal.

the only reason im not using it is because I overdrive my amp with my barber overdrive and between that and my muff I have my dirt covered.

I was looking for $85 shipped. But no takers. I'd do $80. has orignal box and the pedal is mint. -B

Re: WTB: Distortion Pedal

I think the Crunchbox is an excellent option for you. I love mine that I just got. It has sufficient gain on tap and can do heavier blues all the way to the lighter side of metal.

You should definitiely grab this one!

You could also build your own BSIAB2. However, I'm not trying to discourage the other recommendations above by any means - just another option if you're up for it

I just built one of these to mess with - takes about 3 hours and a little soldering skill.

what do you guys think of the fulltone GT-500? just seems a little more versatile and has the option of overdrive as well. i did like that crunch box though... and it's half the price

Re: WTB: Distortion Pedal

Grab that crunchbox... killer pedal and a good price. If you don't like it you can always sell or trade and try something new
