WTB Duncan Singles

Mr 9finger

Digitally Challenged
I'm going to be looking into buying some singles for my strat project here in the next couple weeks.

I'll admit I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to Duncan Singles. I've mostly used Bill Lawrence. So it will take me a couple days to familiarize myself w/ the differences of each...

Let me know what you got.

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

I've got a neck/middle black classic stack... it has the lip on it though so I'm not sure it would work for your particular strat project just depending on how you route the pickup holes.

I'll keep it in mind bro. I'm going to try and stay away from the stacked singles for right now though.

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

I bet you'd prefer the Alnico 5-based SSL pickups over the A2Ps bro, the A2s sound great but they're a touch subdued in the highs, not as chimey and bell-like as the A5s and I'm guessing that's what you're looking for? I think you might dig a Twangbanger in the bridge as well, it's a little nastier and has a tad more balls (more tele-like) than your normal strat bridge pickup.

aye, duely noted. I've got a QP bridge lined up but you knowing me, know that a different pickup all together isn't out of the question.

I've heard the QP is pretty killer in a tele, I bet it'll work in a strat too. You should try to track down some of these Gotoh G&L rails on Fleabay, they're pretty sweet so far.

Right now I'm more worried about tracking down a wilkinson to put on the dam thing that doesn't have a 2 1/8" string spread :yell:

Proving near impossible at this point.

I halfway figured you'd go Hipshot, or are they better at hardtails than they are at trems?

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

I'm looking for a more Vintagesque bridge w/ the big steel block. That I don't have $170 to get another lefty hipshot :(

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

Brent, you need to track down a twangbanger!

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

I have a set of Texas Antiquities I'm willing to part with, are you interested in those at all?

Re: WTB Duncan Singles

apparently the middle pup doesn't work, but I'll sell the other two for $110 total.

You can have the middle one if you want for free
