What do I gotta do to make a pedal true bypass? I've done tons of pickups and complete Strat wiring so I'm not a complete noob. I think I could handle some pedal mods...

I would look for one of the MXR ones. More bands and already true-bypass.

Why mess with something just because it is available at the moment?

FWIW, making a compact Boss pedal true bypass is more trouble than it could ever be worth IMO...also, just because Im curious, why does it have to be true bypass???

True bypass because I don't know if I'll loop it or not in my immediate plans. Also I don't know how much I'm even going to use it so it's more of an experiment at the moment.
