So, yeah.. Spit me a rhyme. Recently bought am epi les paul custom. Love the pickups, they're very sustain-able and crunchy. But lack what a les paul could have to offer.

If anybody has any, please post. I'll also hear suggestions on your opinion if it'll sound better or not. Thanks alot guys! :D

Nothin more specific?

I mean, pretty much anything will sound better than stock Epi pups but what are you looking for? What kind of music do you play and what kind of tones are you trying to get?

Buying a random pup is risky and can be an expensive mistake...

Hmm.. Good point.

What band im currently into learning is Metallica. I know it makes me sound like a noob, but for about 4 years i've only been doin' muh own thing. I wanna learn some music now. I had a tele last, but it was terrible for what i wanted to play. The sound im looking for, is kinda what i have now.. Just a crunchy powercord and clear single notes. Though, it's a little bassy right now, even with the amp settings down.

What gibson pups are best? I would love a brighter tone. Again, thanks a ton!
