Ah, and I was almost ready to sell mine. I had it up last winter @ $1750.

thanks - i'm well aware it might be a turkey
- it might, however, be great. i'll see, feel, hear when it gets here. i feel pretty sure i can get out of it what i put in, should it not be the one. i've got a good vibe about it though. i'll let you know you guys know

^^ I had a fair amount of patience. I missed out on 2 I was really into (a natural 1981) and a 57 reissue but I - had patience - waited and missed them. then there is PG that announces he'd sell his AFTER i've had this ad up for quite a few days and bought a used ebay LP.
There aren't many used customs going for 2100 on ebay. i did find an awesome 1990 white custom for $1899 (until i checked the serial and found it was the serial for a les paul classic).
i could wait for one around here but who knows how long i'd be waiting - i don't think i've ever seen a used custom on craigslist here.
I think a 92 custom is going to be just fine. i'm just bummed that teh guy didn't disclose he was out of town until April 7th. I didn't miss it on the auction, it wasn't there........
anyway, if i'm buying used it's not like i have a whole heck of a lot of chance to match
