Every pickup listed is going in the neck position; I'm not a fan of the Jazz in the bridge - could be what you remember?

Got a Chrome Covered Jazz Neck.. The cover warms it up a bit. So its a slightly warmer yet incredibly clear tone.

What color is it underneath? BTW, covers do really nothing to tone... might attenuate high end a bit, but it's really not much.
