WTB: Kahler vibrato

WTB: Chrome Kahler U.S.A. vibrato, fully functional, with original arm. I would prefer late '80's to early '90's vintage, to match the guitar I will be putting it on.

I don't know the exact model names, but I would ideally get one that has the front rim that fits into the vibrato cutout in a Strat pickguard, but that also has the squared-off back rim, like so:

...not the curved back rim, like so:

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is a Kahler Pro.

My '89 Carvin has one and it looks exactly like that.

Those are both 2300 series; the first one is an orignal, while the second is a recent example. They also have different rollers / cam, the first is a 2320 'Classic' with brass rollers & cam, while the second is a 2300 'Pro' with steel rollers & cam.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was a 2000-something. But yes, I definitely want the older type of frame. The roller type is not important; I can always replace them later.

Re: WTB: Kahler vibrato

Cool, man, I checked it out. I will definitely be bidding on it. Can you tell me what year the thing was made? If it's marked PAF, I'm assuming it's pretty early.

Re: WTB: Kahler vibrato

A "PAT APPL'D FOR" marking dates to 1978-1980. Later originals are marked "USA PAT4457201 DS" like my 2320 which dates to roughly 1986.

Re: WTB: Kahler vibrato

Thanks for the info fellers. I changed my mind about the color and got a black one pulled from an '80's Charvel from a local guy selling on E-Bay. It's just the ticket.

Re: WTB: Kahler vibrato

I would really get your impression of it once it is in. I prefer Kahler over any other trem.
