Slightly confused - is there any difference between a lefty and a righty locking nut?

Can't you just flip it around?

How? Isn't it symmetrical? It's got a front and a back, but I see no difference between left side and right.

That pic is a generic drawing I believe, to show how one looks, but if you look at an actual one up close the slots are diff heights. Plus the side in that pic, thats closest to the board it the back that you cant see.

Actually I think it's the other way around - the high side is the side that comes up against the fretboard, but I get your point.
