WTB: Pickups - RWRP SSL-1 & SD J.D.

I got a dirt cheap Nashville Tele the other day and I was looking to do some

beautification to its tone, I'm also just looking to do a bit of exploring tone-wise.

I'm looking for a SD RWRP SSL-1 (for the middle) and a SD Jerry Donahue bridge.

I'd like to get them used if possible. Please PM or email if you have

either. Thanks!

And let me chime in and say that it doesn't have to be RWRP for the middle PUP. I'll be installing these for Driz so I hope I can get by with this post. :nana: Nevertheless hook this brother up so we can get this smoking new Tele to where she needs to be!!

B Bent is right about the RWRP

This is the set I use w/ a Fralin Blues Spec. neck and it is PERFECT! you will be so happy!

Not to give advice, but to offer a consideration, I also had an APS-2 which was great in there, but the 2/4 positions were not as chimey/nasally as what I wanted, but it was thicker and better with a bit of gain, just couldn't cut it for clean stuff (IMO)

Wire it up like the James Burton tele:
1. bridge
2. bridge/mid
3. neck/bridge
4. neck/mid
5. neck

Have fun with that one!

Thanks for the consideration Dave. I'll keep that in mind if I decide I'm not a fan of the soon-to-be setup.

What I'm going for right now is the J.D. in the bridge (which I may have found on ebay), SSL-1 - middle, SSL-1 - neck (bought already)... I wanna get some fat-nasty, Strat-nasty tones but still have that gnarly twang that life wouldn't be complete without. I hope this completes that journey (if even for a little while). I feel at home with a tele but LOVE the sound of a clean strat. It's one of those "have my cake and eat it too" kind of situations... call me selfish!

This setup was recommended to me by B Bent and The Guy Who Invented Fire. I trust their pickup wisdom and think this is gonna be fun when I get the project complete.

I just got my hands on a Jerry Donahue... All I need now is the SSL-1 middle and I'm good to go. Like I said, I'm looking for a used one if possible.

Thanks!
