WTB: Single coil pickups

Ok, I think I've got a buyer locally for my strat. He doesn't seem particularly interested in the EMG's, so I need to get two passive single coils. I've got a humbucker here I can use, but I still need a middle and neck pickup, preferably with a black pickup cover but not totally necessary. I could get those locally if need be.

I'll take Duncan, Fender (no squier stuff please), or Dimarzio single coils. Anybody got a decent set of neck and middle pickups for sale?

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

I have a brand new never opened SSL-2 Duncan for $55 shipped if you want it. I bought it for a guitar I sold before I did the swap.

I have some in my forsale thread:

Prices shipped:
- $30 for the Classic Stack
- $75 for 3x APS-1
- $55 for 2x APS-1
- $50 for the Ant with no cover
- $95 for 2x APS-1 and the Ant, all with black covers

I can cut a couple dollars if you don't need screws and springs.

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

Hmm... thanks for the offer, but it's a bit more than I'd like to spend. I'd probably get your SSL2 if I was keeping this guitar.

Probably I should narrow this WTB:

Fender Single coils or other inexpensive used single coil pickups

How many and which EMGs do you have in there?

I assume the buyer wants a pickup exchange to save money, not because he dislikes the EMGs?

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

2 x EMG SA single coil pickups
1 X EMG 89 dual mode humbucker

My buyer asked for the original pickups, which I don't have. Big mistake = selling my stock single coils. My brother jacked the stock Dimarzio Super 3 pickup that I had in it for a Kramer guitar he had years ago. So I have no idea where that pickup is, or if he even still has the guitar. He lives pretty far from me now, so I can't really give him much cr*p about it now, thought it does still kinda irriate me.

I'm kinda over having EMG's in this guitar, and I do have a spare JB humbucker here. So I guess I was thinking that if I could come up with some fairly inexpensive single coil pickups that might make it more attractive to buyers. It is kinda a metal/shredder guitar anyways - totally flat neck with no radius, wide string spacing and the Kahler trem for dive bombs and all that. I did use this guitar for some Rock stuff, and some borderline metal but I'm just not big on tremolo units any more.

I suppose I could just recycle the EMG's on ebay or maybe here. Most folks here seem to like the EMG 60/81/85 humbuckers. I can't recall seeing a lot of discussion on the SD forums about the 89's or the SA single coils.

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

I have a pair of SSL-5's that came out of a Washburn USA Silverado one standard wind and one RW/RP. The pickups were the stockers on the Washburn so the leads are a little short but they should be fine under a strat pickguard. How is $45 shipped and using pay pal for the pair? I may have a pair of black covers but I know I have a bunch of white ones.

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

if those other offers don't work man, i got a squire neck and middle with white covers for $50 shipped.

Re: WTB: Single coil pickups

I appreciate all the responses to this post. I did sell the guitar today with the EMG's on it, so I probably won't need the passive single coils after all. Thank you all for your responses to this.
