WTB: Strat neck

Frito's Better Half
anyone got one lying around? Doesn't have to have the fender headstock. Hell, it can even be pointy. Not worried about screw holes matching up or size of the butt. I can fix all that, I just need a neck. Lemme know what you got.

Re: WTB: Strat neck

I've got a neck from a 98 Squier Affinity Strat. Rosewood fretboard, maple neck, 22 frets, MOP dots. It looks pretty OK now that I cleaned it up, oiled the board and polished the frets. Want it? Here's a pic of it before I cleaned it up. I'll throw in the tuners and string guides if ya want, as well, even though they're not that good, haha.

Re: WTB: Strat neck

what's your price, and hows the neck? Standard thin c like on the affinities with the 70's style headstock? If so, I'll pass cause that neck is so **** cramped at the nut.

I've never tried one of the ones with the 70's headstock, so i wouldn't know how it compares. It's a little bit slimmer than my '95 MIM standard neck.

I'd like to get at least $40 shipped for the thing. It's in pretty good condish... want me to take some measurements and report back?

Re: WTB: Strat neck

If you could just let me know the width at the nut, that's really all I need. And we'll make it 45 to cover paypal fees if it's what I'm wanting. Thanks brenno.

Re: WTB: Strat neck

nah, it's for a loaded strat body that I recently acquired. Just wanna get it going, it'll be my only electric for awhile, so I gotta be happy with the end result without putting too much into it.

Good luck, Man! I'd give you one If I had one to give. I couldn't imagine 1 day with out an electric.

I went 5 yrs without an electric. Infact, the Tele I had for sale recently was the first electric I'd owned in that time, and I'd only had it a few months. While I'd still love to have a tele, a strat will do me just fine.

Then I am not going to tell you I have a strat (mim fender), a tele (squier), and soon to be another strat (squier), and another tele (warmoth)(when I finish it that is.) ...Oops.
I think I have a problem....

Re: WTB: Strat neck

You think YOU have a problem? Right before I got rid of them all but 2, I had almost 40 guitars. Hanging on walls, on stands, stashed in corners and under the bed. I only played 2, the rest never saw the light of day.

You win. But, In my 16+ years of playing/tinkering, I have had at least 100.
Fender teles, strats, gibsons, squiers, washburns, ibanez, ect. There are several I wish I had kept, and didnt know better at the time. Amps also!
Once had a fender pro reverb someone had turned into a head. Wish I'd have kept that one!

Re: WTB: Strat neck

I know you weren't showing off. It was all in jest. Very hard to convey tone through text.
