WTB: Tele Body?

Re: WTB: Tele Body?

Depends on your definition of decent! Do you have a preference on wood, finish......or would a naked, no name one do?

Re: WTB: Tele Body?

I was mainly looking for alder or ash, and really any finish (or no finish) will do. Depending on the price, I'm open to anything.

Re: WTB: Tele Body?

I have an untouched Warmoth 72 Custom style body. Gloss nitro finish. Tried to sell it through eBay with the neck and a bunch of hardware but no takers.

Probably going to list it separately on eBay with just the body and pickguard, but if you wanted some particular grouping of hardware we could work something out I'm sure. I figured the $600 for the neck and everything was a slam-dunk sale for a nitro finished guitar but I guess the demand just isn't there. So I don't really have a price in mind just yet.

But it is definitely a nice body with ash finish like you wanted. I'd have to do it as a listing on eBay and sell it that way, but if you're interested shoot me a line. Here was the listing with photos

Re: WTB: Tele Body?

Actually I have another one too, but it's a Tele Deluxe (which are strat neck joints) already disassembled and ready to go. It's yellow-ish nitro finished and unlike the other this one is used. Can get newer photos later on but this is more or less what it looks like, still in good condition. The pickguard fits regular-sized covered humbuckers, not the bigger Fender WRHB, but is routed for those if you got the pickguard for them.

I'm sure I have a straight Tele body here somewhere but I'm not going through storage anytime soon.

Thankd a lot for the offers man. Those definitely look like some great bodies, but I am kind of just wanting something with traditional Tele routes.

Re: WTB: Tele Body?

It might be way more than what you are looking for, but I have a one-piece Honduran mahogany body. I had it custom made for me by my friend, who used to work in the Fender Custom Shop, and now works for G&L. It is a repro of '63 Tele specs (other than it being one piece as opposed to the original multi-piece ones), i.e. 3/16" roundover with a hot-dog rout. The wood blank was aged/stabilized on stickers about 10 or 12 years in the very consistent climate of my Los Angeles garage before being turned into a Tele body. It's not a heavy body at all. Weights about as much as any other Tele body (if not less than some). PM me if interested.
