Still available. These are all great pickups, I just don't need all of them. Downsizing, and will keep whatever is left after I clean up. :D

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

What did you think of them?

They all sound great. I will be moving in a few months and have to clear out at least HALF of my music gear. I figured the easiest way to do so was to pick out a few things that would be impossible to replace and keep them, and put everything else up for sale. Whatever doesn't sell by the time I move I'll just keep. When I started using these, I sold all of my Duncan pickups, no joke. The PAT models are very close to the Customs, which were my favorite Duncans. I even started making hybrids out of these and installing A8 magnets.

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

I'm interested in the Power Rails Bridge. How do you think it would sound in an Alder RG? Maybe the Crunchy rails, if the power ones are too hot.

They're both just as hot, the Crunchy Rails is a bit brighter than the Power Rails. Either one should work fine in an alder RG.

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

What are these things supposed to imitate? The rails is what, a Dimebucker clone, or an X2N? Selling any of the A8 ones?

While some of them are somewhat clones (The PATs are pretty close to Customs - Crunchy PAT is a standard Custom, Fat PAT is a Custom 5), others have their own sound. The Power Rails is like a fatter version of the X2N I'd say. I'm selling a VEH with an A8 in it. The hybrids I made are really awesome sounding as well.

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

VEH as in "EVH knockoff"? Which Van Halen pup, though, or were they trying to replicate the sound of VH1, and not any specific pickup? Since you said you were the one to put A8 into it (if I understood correctly), I'm guessing it's no Super 70 clone, which seems to be one of the more popular choices for Van Halen fanbois?

Btw, tradewise - what would you give up for a single authentic Maxon Super 70 (zebra, seventies vintage japan, reads 7.82k)?

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

Seeing as how I am not really interested in Van Halen's sound, I couldn't say what they were going for. It's one of GFS' most popular pickups for a variety of musical styles. I had no problem getting fairly heavy tones out of it. I'd say check out videos on YouTube to see what these pickups are capable of.

Re: WTS/WTT GFS Humbuckers

Stock VEH sold, all others still available.

I ended up going with GFS Active pickups in my guitars, so GFS is a solid brand.
