Hello, crunchman. Have you considered changing the magnet in your PG+ to an A2? Probable cost to you, five Dollars.

Funk, Magnet swaps would be new to me, though I do build amps to a degree.

Chrunchman, i know exactly your problem. I have a PGB in my LP and swapped in a PG+ (double white btw) and had a tinny sound even treblier than a 59B. The swap with a Alnico 2 or a Alnico 8 will do the job.
