You certainly would not being going wrong with those combo's. I've always been a DD over JB guy & figured I was in the minority because of the massive amount of JB lovers, but in polls around here lately the Distortion's gotten a lot of love.

I like output, and lot's of it. I don't want to have to dial in more treble to make tapping and harmonics sound decent, I want them to come naturally while still having a good thick end. Nothing against the JB, but it doesn't exactly cater to my style of playing or my preferred tone. Plus the DD doesn't have all of that compression like the EMG 81 set in my LTD!

Well in my own experience, a DD in a Jackson USA soloist sound awesome. But you need a good amp to put out enough bottom end.
