Giving stock pickups a fair chance was often a fool's errand for me. Good luck on the eventual tone search! ;)

The pups are "ok", but not great. Epiphone calls them Alnico Classics. Alnico what, I wonder? A2? A5? A-wot? Anyone know?

They'll probably get replaced with either PG's or Seth's. I have both on the shelf.

If it were mine, I'd put black hardware on (pickup rings, knobs) and would remove the poker chip and pickguard. I think it would look grand.

Don'tcha love having a wife that supports your habit? My wife does too, but my ex would get pissed when I even looked at one of my guitars!

Nice grab... for the axe, but ESPECIALLY for the wife! :clap:
