Xotic SL & EP for Van Halen type tones?

Re: Xotic SL & EP for Van Halen type tones?

Can a fuzz face be run into an SL with expected (good) results?

never tried but, why not?.
Maybe, all you will need is some buffer (wampler's decibel+ highly recommended!) just after the fuzz face, if results aren't that good.

Re: Xotic SL & EP for Van Halen type tones?

Has anyone compared the Bogner Red to the Wampler Pinnacle?

Also, for the Pinnacle, is the switchable boost of the Deluxe desirable or would an EP/TS be a better foot switchable boost?

Ah, the EP boost was what I was primarily referring to....the SL could well do what you want....curse only reading half the OP!!

Also look at this one:

AMEN re: the Ramble FX Marvel Drive. I have a lot of pedals, and I have several "favorites" depending on the sound I'm looking for at the time (VOX: Wampler ACE 30, EVH: Pinnacle Limited, FENDER: Tech 21 Sansamp Blonde), but the Marvel Drive is my favorite overall pedal. Sounds like a stock Marshall JMP Super Lead (Plexi), even LOOKS like a Marshall amp, simple to use, actually sounds like an amp, and reasonably priced considering the quality. Also, check out Brett Kingman's demo for it. It sounds awesome with both humbuckers and single coils---an amazing pedal!

marvel sounds sweet there does it fatten up like a amp? Bogner red is one of the best I used and lovepedal hi volt for a bogner/marshall fat gainey tones. Were did you buy it?
