Hello,
I have a peavey xxx 112 combo (60 watt version) - single speaker. Back from the shop retubed with new el-34’s. The speaker impedance switch on the back is on 16 ohm (settings are 4,8,16). I swear I was running the switch at 8 ohm but am not 100% sure. I believe the stock speaker in there reads 16 ohm . Should I stick on the 16 ohm or will it damage the speaker / transformer or anything in the amp if I try 8 ohm setting ?
Thanks for any advice given.
Mike
