PRICE DROP!

The Pacifica 1221M is the ultimate shredder, a guitar that was waaaay ahead of its time and a professional quality instrument with looks to match. Top-notch components throughout, impeccable attention to detail and some genuine innovations that really set these early versions apart from the later Pacificas, such as height-adjustable locking nuts, a "total access" neck joint and a deep set neck-to-body joint made out of machined aluminum! This particular version, the 1221M ("M" indicates Maple fretboard), is the most scarce of this rare series, so don't miss out on your chance to own this awesome piece of hair metal history!

•Custom DiMarzio USA pickups in H-S-H configuration
•Precision "RM-PRO II" Floyd Rose tremolo bridge
•9.5"-16" Compound Radius Rosewood fretboard
•Thin "C" neck contour
•22 Dunlop 6100 "Jumbo" frets
•25.5" scale length
•1-11/16" (43mm) nut width
•Black hardware
•Lightweight premium American Basswood body
•Solid Maple neck

Condition: For being nearly 25 years old, this guitar is in amazing shape! I would rate it a solid 9+ out of 10 for overall condition. PM me for larger and additional pictures to see more detail. Just a couple small scratches and some minor signs of use you'd expect from a lightly played instrument (pick swirls on the pickguard, light marking on the back, etc). The paint looks great, the hardware shows almost no aging, the frets have tons of life left and everything works! This guitar has obviously been well kept and played very little over the years. Even comes with the original trem arm! Comes as pictured (no stand).

That's so awesome it's not funny. Remember playing one of them years ago...what a superb instrument. I'd get this over a pile of Charvel's/Jackson's if I could..

..hope it goes to a worthy owner lol.

Still have it? Would you consider a trade for a 2008 Gibson Flying V faded with harshell case?

I sold that one, but I still have its twin sister if you're interested! Original case, as well!

Not really looking for trades, though

How much for the sister? any pics?

and sad you sold it, I'm a huge fan of the 1221 ...been looking all my life for one. that neck is the best neck ever made. I've only seen one in real life sadly ):

Yes, the necks on these 1221 models are downright ridiculous! They were graphite reinforced and produced by Warmoth exclusively for Yamaha. Slim, fast, smooth playing, just awesome.

The sister looks identical to the one shown above (I could almost get away with reusing those pictures...ha ha!)

I'll work on getting some actual pics of it for you.

Re: Yamaha Pacifica 1221M - Maple Fretboard, Floyd, DiMarzio p'ups & more!

Yogurt - I just took the sister out of its case to check it out. It has been a good year or two since I last looked at it, but this thing is really nice!

I'd rate the overall condition at a solid 9 out of 10. It's actually very close to the same condition as the one pictured above.

The only wear it has is that which you would expect from a lightly played 25-year old guitar...light marking on the pickguard, some oxidation on the screw heads, light scuffing in the "buckle" area, etc.

Aside from that, the only real "blemish" is a small ding on the back edge by the neck heel (it's only about 2mm long, so rather insignificant).

The finish is in very good to excellent condition overall. I tuned it up and it plays well. The electronics work fine (I might put a little cleaner on the pots).

All of the gloss black hardware items (tuners, bridge, control knobs, etc) are in great shape. The frets are excellent, showing only very minor play wear.

The guitar comes in an original Yamaha hard case with the original Owners Manual and even the original store hang tag.

It also comes with the matching pop-in trem arm, which everyone seems to lose!

Again, I'll work on getting some actual pictures for you :)
