Yamaha RGZ: Body Wood?

Curious precisely what body wood my early 90s Yamaha RGZ112p is... Seems not too light, *pretty sure* it's not ply or if it is it's disguised well (and didn't Yamaha used to advertise that their bodies were specifically not ply during that era?) It's a cheap HSS fat Strat type guitar, anyone have experience with these?

Most likely lower cost types of basswood or alder? Pictures would help, if there's any unpainted part that you could see

In case you're too lazy to read: it's alder.
