I picked up this little darling just about two years ago and have really enjoyed her!

Yamaha make excellent entry level & high end guitars, everyone just looks at Fender or Gibson, friend of mine had a lovely semi acoustic, r ?? great guitar for about $500. For beginners there range is much better, I once had a yammy strat, timber finish like a washburn $750. Bought my kid a yammy semi acoustic, great guitar, segovia style, $230. Why pay that for a ****ty squirer.

lovely 335 copy, I have a Hondo copy, I believe it was Japanese made, Grover tuners, di marzio p/ups, they all say 1981 as year built,??? would never buy the real thing in a fit, they were around 6 grand, probably around 8 by now. Paid $400 back in 83 2nd hand. When the Aussie dollar was $1.84 N.Z. (1984) I saw a Les Paul Black beauty in Wanganui, $1,800. Less than a grand in oz $$$? there a times when we all kick ourselves.

Probably should've kept this one, killer guitar. '79 AR-50, all original and absolutely mint, too nice, it needed to be kept that way.

Well I for one really like both of these guitars and now I wonder who has what on this forum. I used to have a beautiful Ibanez AR300 tri-sound... and like a prat I sold it. But here a couple of (bad) pics of mine and my sons SG3000's. Some may remember that I bought AJ's when he was around 5/6 months old for his 16th birthday which was last year. Mine is the one with the Zebras... both are 80's guitars and not re-issues.

Thanks MnMs, I have since given mine to my younger son so now both my boys have the same guitar albeit one is near mint. However, the one that has been played is easily one of the best playing and sounding guitars I’ve picked up!
