First off, I need to say I don't think I'm going to sell this pedal, it does it all. It's pretty insane as far as distortion, even I have not needed to dime the distortion knob. The noise has been reduced so that is the biggest improvement of all. It sounds like a Marshall DSL/ Mesa Triple Rectifier lovechild.

I kept both the stock MT2 and the modded MT2 at the same levels so that I could determine my findings.

The switch you see under the Distortion control? It is a weird switch, I almost broke the damn thing trying to switch it. I finally figured out that you have to lift it first, and then you can switch it :cool3:

First setting(left): It sounded like a slightly beefed up MT2 with some better bass response.

Second setting(center): From just the flick of the switch, it has a substantial amount more output than the first. More bass then the first.

Third setting(right):  Crazy amount of distortion on this setting, it is pretty sickening actually, i had the distortion at 2o'clock with this setting. The most gain I have ever heard.

All the mods are warranteed for the life of this pedal, I think that should outlive me. Keeley will even give you a full refund on the pedal if you arent happy, as long as you give him 48 hours of notification.

Re: YAY!!!! Keeley Twilight Zone rocks!

Damn dude, you make me want one! Can you compare it to the stock MT-2 on articulation, clarity, and overall character?

Re: YAY!!!! Keeley Twilight Zone rocks!

IMO, the Twilight MT-2 is one of Keeley's top 3 mods.

Re: YAY!!!! Keeley Twilight Zone rocks!

Ever tried the rocktron metal planet? I have that pedal and love the distortion I get out of it plus the parametric eq sweep..sounds like a mesa rectifier a bit. I wonder how it compares?

IMO the Rocktron Metal planet is VERY close to the Keeley Twilight MT2 but has a little less saturation in the high mids.

I bought one off mrid, and then sold it back to him when i had to pay for a parking ticket. :smack: It was a neat pedal! think, "Rust In Peace" in a box.

Re: YAY!!!! Keeley Twilight Zone rocks!

Will Keeley do the Twilight Zone mod on an existing MT2? In other words, if I send him my unit, will he mod it?

Yes, he will.

I am currious as to what the Twilight would sound like when adding a signal boost from his TS-9 Plus mod. I did that with the DS-1 SEM and it was insane.
