Alright, wrote this today. Didn't lay down bass, because... I didn't feel like it. I'll probably lay some down later and mix it in, before I burn it as a WAV and send it off to Robert.

I used my new C-1 Classic with JB bridge for all the rhythms, and used my C-1 Stealth's 81 neck for the leads. Distortion from an SD-1 and a V-Amp2, reverb from Nuendo. Drums were done with my random samples and Battery2, again.

*EDIT* Tell me how you guys like the solo... It was a bitch to write, as it's tuned to DADFAE. Is it out of key?

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

YAY! more awesome tuning by jeff! yay!!!
I thought the solo sounded pretty awesome given what ****ed up tuning it's in.

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Oh yeah, def a JB. Needs bass but your gonna add it like you said so it's ok, just make it a very deep bass to cover the lowrange, PM ur SN DDS as I'm tryin to find a way to record on my computer when I'm not in the studio, course, only if u wanna mess with it haha.

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

I'm sorry, but this is the hotness. I love the rhythm tone and timing are very tight and defined. You rock!

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Thanks much!
Updated with bass!

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

great tune DSS...sounded very maiden-ish to me...the egyptian flava I guess...

solo was great too...

and DEF a JB...hehe...can't mistake that tone!

oh...and congrats on the new axe...I was sorry to hear the jackson didnt work out for ya, but mahog and a TOM are just hard to beat for tone!

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Jeff, I can't find the bass added updated version.
...It's been updated.

Thanks much guys! I'm working on making it longer, touching up a few things here and there, and adding riffs.

Hey Jeff, is that the new Opeth tuning?

For Ghost Of Perdition, at least. ;). We're not sure on the rest of them.

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

I heard they were all done in that tuning except for two in standard

Could possibly be, but over at the Opeth forum we have a few tabs up... None in standard yet. DADFAE and DADFAD are the two used so far.

DADFAD = Ghost of Perdition (I was wrong before), Baying Of The Hounds, Isolation Years and The Grand Conjuration.
DADFAE = Harlequin/Reverie Forest. That's what we have so far.

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Updated with a way extended intro! I LOVE this one!

Re: Yay More Tunage! (This One is for the SD CD)

Sounds Awesome! Way to go.

Rock On :headbang:

~ I want to have drum tracks like that for my original songs...
