Yay new pedal day... but how the hell do I use this thing?

The best thing about having a handmade pedal shop practically under the place you take lessons at is convenience. The worst thing is that it generates GAS. Lots of GAS. This afternoon, I, acting on some strange impulse, waltzed into the shop and bought a delay pedal... that green thing at the top left corner. Admittedly, I bought it for the price and just because I don't have a delay pedal...

So... anyone got some inventive/cool ideas on how to use a delay?

when I use delay
I use a real short delay with a high level
and short Feedback

what I get is

the note/chord sounds bigger like a sustain that doesnt trail off

then there is the Edge thing where you put a longer delay
and play between the repeats as Mr Pig was saying
