New sentient baseplate broken - how do I fix this?

Hello!

New to the forum and relatively new to doing work on my guitar by myself.

Anyway, long story short I bought the pegasus/sentient humbucker set a little while ago. Just about getting around to installing them when I notice the mounting tab on the sentient is completely bent out of shape.

I try and gently get it back into position and "snap". It came off.

Now I don't know what to do. I live in the UK, I bought this set from the US so I don't think I'll have warranty or anything. I got them from a small ebay shop (who I've emailed for advice), they were a brand new set that I was really looking forward to using. Now its been postponed for god knows how long, but I don't want to bodge it.

Are there legitimate places in the UK I can send them to? Will seymour duncan touch them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading!

I had this happen recently with a humbucker I was installing......NOT Seymour Duncan.......I went and got some JB Weld and mixed up some on a paper plate and then put the bracket where it needed to be and applied the JB Weld with a toothpick and BAM.....overnight it was set and ready to be installed the next day.....Just make sure you get the mix right or it will not set and will still be pliable after a day.....It took me twice to get the mix correct.....ALSO.....MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE OIL, WAX, RESIDUE OFF THE PART BEING PUT BACK TOGETHER OR IT WONT SET CORRECTLY EITHER......

I'd contact SD before doing anything.

If that went nowhere, I would then get a baseplate and replace the baseplate with a different one.

STOP YELLING! Use the Italics and Underline buttons for emphasis instead of caps.

Hi guys! Cheers for the quick replies. So gutted this has happened, but I'm sure it'll work out in the end. Never had SD pickups before and the wait is killing me!

Oh... The original seller got back to me and said that unfortunately this can happen from time to time. He said if I sent them back he'd send out a new kit and refund the postage cost!
