Yep! Cleaned it up! My PB gets a clean up!

Re: Yep! Cleaned it up! My PB gets a clean up!

How is this manifestation the slightest bit different from your previous thread about this board?

What is the point of tying down all of your bargain basement interconnect cables when you keep promising yourself (and us!) a new, bigger, better board in the very near future? That is doubly unnecessary work.

I conclude that video recordings, exhibiting pedalboards as status symbols, is a Fæcesbook phenomenon amongst teenaged boys.

Honestly, Funk, just don't even comment on these anymore. No matter how much we say it, he's still posting new threads about the topic every other day. Either he doesn't get it or the attention is more important.

True BUT we are supposed to be in awe of The Pedalboard and the towering musical talent that its mere presence in a room symbolises. "Look at my gear. You can SEE how good my music is going to be before I play a single note."

There are people out there who have convinced themselves that amassing a bunch of gear magically confers higher musical capabilities upon them. In truth, it just provides them with additional ways to present their same old sh!t.

Nathan, in particular, has been keen to emphasise that some of his pedal choices are "the industry standard". Presumably, we are supposed to take this as "proof" that Nathan himself is up to industry standard.

Apparently, only guitarists with the same tuner as Nathan favours can be considered cool. Guitarists who employ a more expensive tuner than Nathan are, naturally, uncool. What an astounding coincidence.

None of this is to say that Nathan should not enjoy his pedalboard. Just that this forum is the wrong place to be hoping to score Internet Like points over it.

The threads convey no useful information. The message is, "I'm Nathan. Please like me." IMO, this belongs on Fæcesbook.

Re: Yep! Cleaned it up! My PB gets a clean up!

I think you guys are a little harsh on him tbh. He's not trolling or chirping anybody. Annoying with all the same lies/ threads? Sure. But not hurting anybody. Kid's stoked on his gear.

Let me also remind you you can ignore members so you wont see their posts!

Thank you! I am planning for Christmas to buy a PT-Pro pedalboard and some new pedals, and I will buy a Strymon Lex and some others.

In my opinion, Nathan is hurting somebody - himself.

Through the 1971 Stratocaster thread (and other classics), Nathan has branded himself, at best, a fantasist and, at worse, an outright liar. He then appears on the forum and phishes for compliments. Not the best tactic.

There seems to be an unspoken rule in force that this forum community is not supposed to be unpleasant to Nathan because of his medical issues. Does tiptoeing around assist Nathan to make progress in music and life? Are we just postponing the time at which so-called Reality finally catches Nathan up and bites him hard?

In short, I think the time has come for this forum community to decide whether to continue making special allowances for Nathan - thereby condemning him to a sort of perpetual adolescence - or to treat him as an adult?

And I think the medical issues is sort of a cop out to just shut and deal with it. I know several people with his same issues who don't behave this way. I think allowances have been made to him and that hurts him only.

Re: Yep! Cleaned it up! My PB gets a clean up!

OK, I watched it. I have to say, that I like the layout much better than all your previous versions. One caveat, most people prefer the Phase 90 before any gain. Have you tried it there?

Re: Yep! Cleaned it up! My PB gets a clean up!

I used to love pedalboard threads now I am leery of posting my own.
The board costing more than the pedals is somehow puzzling to me.
