No, that's right, to leave your option open to have both loops in series you would have to do the two switches with one foot trick, but it's totally achievable if the switches are close enough together. I do that with my triple looper, I'm running a DC-2 and a DM-2 analog delay on separate loops, and for solos I need to turn the chorus off and delay on in one move....stomp on both simultaneously...job done.
I know what you mean about getting inspired by these things, you can almost hear it, right?! So much fun to imagine, 100 times more fun when you put it all together and play! Just take your time designing your rig for every option you might need, and then get the looper that will do the job. No looking back!

Hmmm, that doesnt allow me to engage both loops though right, and disengage both. It's alright, i don't mind stepping on two.

My future board plan has never been so clear it's great.
I just hope it'll all fit into my SKB Pedal board, HOPEFULLY It's big enough. I'll be shattered if it's not.
I've got this EHX soft pedal bag which i'll use for when i need to run a really minimal rig, or if i'm singing as well. I'll prob just stick, the DD20, the fulldrive II, and the tuner. Maybe the compressor? Hmmm

Hey, you'll make it all fit on there...being shattered is not an option! if not, keep in mind you can always have the looper away from the rest of the board, like a master remote switch. Set up your "presets" on the board and have the looper conveniently placed to do the big switch'o'rama...

Consider the Boss LS-2 also. It has 2 loops you can set up, and it gives you options for switching between and mixing your 2 effect loops. In addition, you are also essentially converting the pedals in those loops to true bypass. And you can use that LS-2 to provide power to some of those pedals by adding a daisy chain wire and a Boss PSA adapter. But the chains you described earlier sound pretty cool. A compressor is best placed before everything except wah. Effects such as delay, chorus, reverb, and tremolo are great in the amp's effect loop.

The problem with the LS-2 is that it isn't true bypass itself, so that whenever you have both loops bypassed you lose tone in typical Boss fashion. Certainly better than constantly going through the chain of pedals, but not as good as these more recent custom loopers which are true bypass in themselves. It is possible to get an A, B, A+B, Master Bypass, Tuner Out/mute looper. In benbenben's case, he would want to put the compressor after the SD Pickup Booster, which is intended to act like a resonance booster to make single coils take on a humbucking tonal quality. If you put the compressor before that, it will mess with the effectiveness of the resonance alteration.
