Oh , I actually tried to look at where I thought I may have broken the trace( it's really the only thing near where the led is) and see where the next thing was, and it runs under the input jack and I couldn't see that it was connected to anything.

EVEN IF I THOUGHT about removing that jack Which I would't after this mess, I hav no clue how you would unsolder the jack as it has 6 solder points on it. I dont have a de-soldering gun so I couldn't heat them all at once and be able to pull it off the board.

I returned your PM...Send me the pedal and I'm sure I'll figure out what happened...We'll fix it cheap and then you can tell everyone what a nice guy I really am! LOL Don't throw the pedal away just yet,let me do it... :32:

Are we just removing R28 or are we also doing the cap mods as shown on the drawing after I get the pedal fixed?

Your welcome, but I got that image off the SD forum about a year ago, I don't remember who posted it ... might have been RID or MRID. I added the text per the discussion that was posted; As well as the warning about removing the de-emphasis without removing the pre-emphasis (well you can if you want to). I can not 100% swear to the image, as for being correct ... I'm 99% sure it is though.

Thanks for the heads up Kent...I'll get the pedal working first and then see what the mods do..I always trust my ears on these kinds of things..I'll also post my findings.

Oh, I didn't mean it like that John, I'm real sure that it's correct (as it's been around the web for more than a while), but I just haven't actually modded an RI (or Phase 90 for that matter) ... so I just can't swear to it ... you know what I mean ... The mods are listed on ther, 3 choices the feedback loop (R28) and the removal of the pre and de deal, or the removal of just the pre, which makes the whole thing real smooth, but cuts some hi end.
