Re: Yngwie 308 My Old Much Missed amps!
Who Fan,if you met the Jamaican girl I was engaged to you would have sold them too.But I don't regret anything I have done in my life,I was playing Marshalls in 1967 in London, bought my first amp,a Marshall Lead stack at Jim and Terry Marshalls original Hanwell,London shop/factory!
I used to see Bluesbreakers, they weren't know as those back then of course!
For you guys salivating over the Vox's that I had at my house, those weren't even the best ones!! I had 8,yes 8 JMI Vox AC30's at my house ,copper panel,Vox Blues,Top Boosts, you name it.I even had conversion kits, small little circuits on an ally panel, with a control knob, that would convert your AC30 to a top boost. And in the mid nineties,I couldn't give any of this stuff away!!
Nobody was interested in buying any of them, didn't know what they were.
In England the Vox AC30 is known as a working mans amp and they laugh at us revering them as they are as common as a siver panel Twin to them!
I am done with vintage amps,as I have been there, done that for all of my playing life, and there is only rubbish for sale at ridiculous prices now,and I got hardly anything for my amps, believe me ,and Bazilian bought them as a favor I think yo help me out as he flipped them shortly after!
Here are some photos of Eric playing my '54 Junior in his home studio, and he is a good songwriter and guitarist, not just a mandolin player!
My Semer Crocodile finished amp there as well with the killer creme back Celestions.
