So, I did it!

Many requests to play some Lynch with this guitar! Here ya go; Jammermatt played the rhythm guitars, and did a great job. I supplied the solo.

you can sure hear the maple neck accent on the notes on that guitar. it adds nicely to the pronounced pick attack. very cool :beerchug:

You played nice an smooth ... and your tone was awsome, did you play through thta Marshall?? (in the picture) also, what kind of Marshall is that??

Thanx, Kamanda .... no, that solo was played through a Roland VG-88, the only modeler that I actually like. :D
The Marshall in the picture is a 50W JCM800 from 1985 (model 2205).

Probably radically different! I was amazed at how much closer to the 'true' Lynch sound of that time period I was able to get by putting a different neck and pickups in there!! The sound is now pure Back For The Attack!!

Wow that tone really 'jumps out' at ya doesnt it? Cuts through amazingly, i guess some of that is down to the brightness the maple gives it, nice playign and great tone TO.

Wow... very yummy, TO! Very sick, cutting tone. You've got that Roland dialed in PERFECTLY for the old school Lynch tone. Well done indeed.

You know, I have a 'best of Dokken' compilation - and the solo in In My Dreams is the solo that most reminds me most of your playing.

I could swear you and Lynch are the same person.

It's the same style of pinch harmonics that I love from Near Dark!!



You been missing from this forum lately. I might have to join BKPF to chat to you, Craig and Dooogz again :evil:

It's busy times for me these days.
Believe it or not, this was the 1st time I sat down with the music and actually tried to play the solo correctly! I agree - after hearing it back, I thought ... hmmm, that's a pretty TO-sounding solo!! :laugh2:
