You know the drill

Picked up the last one at Dave's for $2350. I was looking hard for a used one, but they seem to be priced around $1800-$2000 used recently, so after checking around and finding that many dealers are empty and Gibson estimating a 4-6 month back order (WTF??!!) I said WTF and bought it. I already bought an RS rewire kit and pickups will be a Wanger Fillmore bridge and Duncan Seth neck.

Can ya say "John Sykes"?
:D

Had a black 88 exactly like it I bought brand new at Chuck Levin's in MD. Sold it to buy a PRS custom 24 10 top w/ birds.

SWEEETTTTT guitar. And congrats! :D That's the only color I like in the Custom (white is OK I guess...I had a used mid 80's in white..ehhh) And good pup selection (well, the Seth anyways, I'm not fam with the other you mentioned), although I liked those pups they put in the custom if ya get a "good" pair. Some of the 49X's are muddy, some are clear as a bell.

I'll get another custom someday, it was a phenomenal playing piece with great tone, and the looks go without saying. They are just different enough to where every LP Standard owner needs to have one (or two?) :D

is that a custom or a '57 RI custom? either way shes a beauty!
Regular CS custom, the 57RI was only $150 more, and I like the long tenon on those, but I hate aged binding and the 57RI doesn't come with a maple cap - which was a must for me.
