Your Favorite Underdog Effects?

What's a pedal you love that other guitarists, or pedal afficianados, in general don't seem to "get"?

I was looking around at all these new phasers, boutique options, and rarities but ended up looking back at my first phaser: the Electro Harmonix Russian Small Stone. You know the one...the big black piece of crap! I sold it because I wanted the "coolest" new phaser and didn't appreciate the pedal for what it was. I'm trying to track one down (CHEAP) to use temporarily until maybe something I'm excited about comes along...

So, what's your favorite underdog effect?

MXR Dynacomp

Boss phaser, the one where you can choose how many stages (4, 8, 10, 12, plus rise and fall modes). Versatile. Of course there are better sounding phasers (Moog), but still.

Roland JC-120. It's a chorus that comes with it's own speakers. (sorry)

all Boss effects - I am a big fan of Boss pedals.
the Ibanez Tone-Lok "7" series - The tones are toyish and totally unnatural; I think they are great.
the DigiTech "X" series - especially the delay, reverb, phaser, and compressor; I've been GASing for a Hot Rod distortion, lately, but I don't really need a distortion which models a bunch of other distortions I already have.

eHx Bassballs. Napalm in a pedal.

I've also seen folk pull 'who farted' faces at the Line 6 Filter modeller, but I've got one on loan and it's awesome.

I don't know if this is really underdog, but one super cheap pedal I love is the Danelectro chicken salad vibrato. I'm getting mine put into a Hammond box.
