Your Lotto win Guitar

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

very cool
is that one like david torn plays?

Yeah, it is. I like Tueffel's ideas on balance and ergonomics- the Klein was similar, and an awesome instrument, but they aren't made anymore and are hard to find. I always wondered if you threw history, iconic pictures, & childhood dreams out of the window, and you approached guitar making from a purely human and ergonmic standpoint, what someone can come up with.

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

the 3 between the pickups are push buttons, non-latching. One is a kill switch. The next actually cuts off the signal, and *adds* 60 cycle hum. The last feeds a microphone in the body into itself creating feedback, both controlled and the squealing type. The idea is to have a guitar that has all the sounds people actually try to get rid of. I don't know if I bought one, if I would have them on there, but it is certainly a departure from conventional designs.

The one above the strings is a pickup switch..either off or on. The other 2 are volume/tone.

...but hey, at least I picked the most conservative of his creations:

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

I'd drive over to Nashville and spend an afternoon at Gruhn. Who knows what I'd come home with.

Throw in a couple Crossley Guitars and a Languedoc G4 and I'm done.

'52 goddam Telecaster. I figure it's got enough life left in it to see me off to my grave.

OR

a Holy Grail. Yeah, I said it.

OR

insane Jackson Custom Shop Soloist. I'd dare them to make the most Les Paul-like Soloist they can. Mahogany, archtop, 22 frets, SLS headstock, TOM/stoptail. Burstbuckers, but potted.

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

I would get an ESP custom. It would be an Explorer, but with a custom graphic on the front. Some Blackout AHB-2's as well.

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

I'd probably just pay some strung-out crackheads to create a distraction while I rob the **** out of some vintage guitar store.

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

I'd probably have a custom Jackson soloist with this sunburst tiger finish. No not that headstock........

You know high-output ceramic humbuckers, Floyd Rose etc....

Then the Fryette Pitbull Ultralead.

Re: Your Lotto win Guitar

gibson 1959 VOS les paul

With 10 Million I'd skip the 59 Reissue and find a Real 59 Burst. :naughty: I'd love to experience one and see what all the fuss is about. :friday: I suppose it wouldn't hurt to pickup a 59 VOS as well, however, a genuine 59 would be a MUST for me with that kind of dough. :)

I'd pay someone to go digup Dimbags grave a steal me Eddie's guitar that was buried with him. Think it's the women and children axe.

VHII. He never cared for that guitar. Grover Jackson built it but he couldn't get it to sound right, even after several pickup changes. He did like the neck however and stuck it on Frankie for the end of the '79 tour.

If I had unlimited resources for a guitar, I'd design my own. I have numerous ideas, but no capital to make it...
