Personally I believe you can get better guitars than the KH 202. For instance I just picked up a mint used ESP LTD M-302 for $300 USD, $150 less than what the 202 is listed for on music123.com. The 202 is a bolt on neck with a basswood body while my 302 is a maple neck-thru with mahogany body. The pickups and hardware on the two are the same though. Therefore you are getting better materials and build quality for much less. The M 300 series (300 and 302) are from 2002-2003 I believe and can be often found on E-Bay. That is my recommendation.

I don't know what model of Kirk Hammet u r after but my mate has a LTD les-paul shaped one which I dont realy like the look of. Its got the little bugs for inlays. hehe and the whole guitar shape is bad. (in my opinion) and I love les pauls by the way! The pups arnt that good either EMG HZ. Im sure it plays sweet tho! I realy do like the look of the strat one much better. But i havent played either because im a flaming LEFTY!!!! :smack: :yell: :grumble: :banghead:
