As the title states, whats your favorite pedal brand? are you loyal? and why?
For me its gotta be EHX(Electro-Harmonix) i love all there pedals, as of right now i only have one, a big muff PI and i love it, hopefully i will be buying a graphic fuzz and q-tron soon, i find all of there pedals have there use, they also sell tubes which are good(as far as i've heard), i am loyal to EHX because i can get alot of different sounds outta there stuff, they also have amazing reverb/filter pedals, all there fuzz pedals sound great(although i wouldn't mind getting my big muff modded) They dont have too many actual "endorsee's" but they got John Frusciate, and he makes amazing use of his EHX gear, listen to some of his demo's for the 'Tube zipper' it sounds amazing, well im done, long live EHX.
Theres "my" pedal brand, whats yours?

Re: "Your" Pedal Brand?

I'm dedicated to Pro Analog effects. Scotty from PA is the man. He builds the most amazing pedals I've heard and he is a very personable and dedicated builder. I have two of his pedals (out of five total pedals that are on my pedalboard): the Dual Drive (use it for fat leads) and Supa Quack (custom ordered wah, also used by the touring guitarist with Clapton). He is the epitome of boutique to me because he uses nothing, but high quality NOS parts like Mullard inductors. His selection of components is fascinating and it makes for a very amp-like responsive feel with superior tone.

I never thought I'd be so loyal to certain people when on my tone search, but there are just some people who I think are head and shoulders above the rest in both customer service and product quality and I'm grateful for getting to know them.

Right now "my" pedal brand is definetly Dunlop

Dunlop Crybaby (want crybaby from hell)
Dunlop High Gain Volume Pedal
MXR Dime Distortion

I'm very happy with what I own and look forward to owning more.

I seem to favor DOD. They've just always given me what I'm looking for. I don't own a lot of pedals, though. My current live rig is rackmounted.

Re: "Your" Pedal Brand?

My right and left hand!

And that little black box labelled Marshall.

Re: "Your" Pedal Brand?

I like whatever sounds good. All the different brands sound a little different. But if I had to play favorites it would be Electro-Harmonix for everything but distortion(Big Muff is cool just not a necessity right now).

I personally dont use my big muff for a distortion, i use it for an odd sounding lead boost, sorta hard to explain, all part of "my" tone, i use it to create a creepy edge on leads and stuff, although sometimes i just use it for a "normal" lead boost.

I can't really say I have a particular brand I'm attached to. I have a Morley, Boss, Digitech, MXR and EHX.

I guess if you put it that way then I'm definantly on a Dunlop high:

MXR ZW-44 Zakk Wylde Overdrive
Dunlop Crybaby (regular)

Re: "Your" Pedal Brand?

No real allegiance to any particular brand. On my sig i have 3 boss pedals but they delivered the goods solidly. Morley do a wah i like, line 6 do good modellers. In the end its what ever works best for me (and consideration to cost)

Re: "Your" Pedal Brand?

not a big pedal usuer so i'm not picky at all...it just needs to sound good for me to buy it.
