bros,
i am thinking of getting this mij fender j-craft tele.
the specs are:
chambered swamp ash body
1-pc maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets and 9 1/2" radius
5-way switch configuration: 1 = Neck, 2 = Center, 3 = Neck + Bridge, 4 = Center + Bridge, 5 = Bridge
my thoughts are, its rare to find an ash body with vintage bridge coupled with a 9 1/2" neck unless going the custom route. maximum playability with vintage tone! i will upgrade the pickups to ants tele bridge/neck and hummer and maybe the bridge to a callaham with compensated brass saddles.
only thing holding me back is, since most ants are not wax potted, i am afraid the thinline body with the pickups will cause major feedback issues.
what are your thoughts and opinions? should i get it or not?
forgot to mention the price. this baby cost about $630 minus shipping.
cheers!
