Evan Skopp said:Here's a suggestion for Tele players: an STL-2 tapped with an added bottom plate. I own one or two myself and they're my favorite Tele lead pickups.
Here's a suggestion for humbucker players who want something that we don't offer: a Screamin' Demon (10K) with an aged Alnico 2 magnet and standard adjustable screws. That's kind of like Jeremy's 10K Antiquity.
Here's a suggestion for Strat players: an over-wound Classic Stack with a Twang Banger bottom plate.
But keep this in mind: in order for MJ to get all the materials together to make these pickups, she'll need references to common SD pickups, like I specified above. That'll make it easier for her.
I look forward to seeing you guys next month.
Damn thats a great idea Artie!!!!! You are the man!!!!ArtieToo said:Yup, and take it one step farther: tap one coil, but not the other . . . instant hybrid.![]()
Gearjoneser said:I need to satisfy my curiosity about an overwound Custom 5 nickel, just to add a touch more mids. Basically, bridge the gap between the C5 and JB. Like a 15.5 C5.
I shall call it the GJ Model. :duh: :laugh2:
But since I'm not officially endorsed and not being paid a royalty, people will have to refer to it as the Gee Jay......which cannot mean Gearjoneser. It's pseudo-name will be the 'Great Joe Model' :fing25: :laugh2: :laugh2:
