Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

I got on here to read about Zak's "gear" and somewhere long the line, started reading about Chapman guitars sucking or not?

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

Zakk's new gear looks like cheap toys... And the LP copy is flat out disgusting looking.

Quick video of Zakk playing one. You can see all the models and some of the finishes in there too. Yeah... not too impressed.

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

Not a fan of them already. I really hate the big stupid block inlays.

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

Even if they had no inlays I wouldn't want anything to do with them. Maybe the blue or gold V's if anything, but the other two - bleh.

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

The amp looks good and the sg/v guitar design looks a bit meaner than the Gibson one, but i think this will only be valuable if they have the exact same specs and finish as Marshall/Gibson but cost 50/70% of the price tops. To me the Wylde brand only diminishes value.

I hope he has some models WITHOUT the EMG 81 and 85. I KNOW he has some guitars with passives, Duncans even.

Re: Zakk Wylde has his own guitar and amp company now

It's really difficult for musicians to make money playing music these days; so they have to look for ancillary income streams. I wish Zakk all the best with this venture.

Some Pointy Headstocks in there. Not a fan of the "extended flourish" they did with the treble cut-out.

I finished watching that video 5 minutes ago but I think the reverb and delay is still going.

I like the split tail one, but the rest are even too ugly for me to play.
