I'll probably never buy a BLS record because I don't like that kind of metal.
Yet, Zakk Wylde's an amazing guitar player. Putting this guy down is extreme bad faith or plain envy. I wish I could play half that good. Anyone wondering why this guy is a star is a complete looser.

Those are custom made EMG's. Both James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett have also had them made.

I like Zakk's persona. He 'and the ole man' are now legends.
As far as Zakk's playing, he's a guy who has a big work ethic. Just check out his 'beefcake' thing, he met those WWE guys and decided to work out and bingo (and I doubt he's done roids). I don't care for his BLS work and most of his stuff with Ozzy, but like the true hard worker he is, he's at his best live.
I recall EVH saying Jimmy Page live was like watching a guy play with a broken wrist
He'll always to no.2 to Randy but he is a monster live and gives it all.

that was very well put. I feel the same, I'm not a fan of Zakk era Ozzy or BLA, but I love Zakk's attitude, work ethic and hes like the poster boy for Metal and keeping good chops on the guitar. Hes maybe the only high-profile guy through the 90's to have the balls to be like that and I thank him for it.

Would be some pretty cool info if someone can find it. Anyways I have my mind made up on some Lawrence XL500s I can't wait. Should sound nice in my LP Studio...Im drooling at visual of it. Zebra black/white with that blade look in Chrome covers!! On a Black Paul with chrome Hardware.....soon. The wait is almost over.

it's a warm up.. they usualy dont consist of songs or anything, just silly scale runs and diferent techniques.. he's all over the place.Jaganath said:

Thats called Chicken picken! I trying to learn that effectively it's really hard man. Mostly bluegrass players do that.

It looks a bit sloppy and uncontrolled when he's playing, but it's not. He sure gets the job done. He's fast as hell. A little off topic, but related: anyone seen the George Lynch REH video? I'd say he's even faster than this, and plays with more of an effortless style, highly recommended for fans of fast style playing
