Yeah, that is just wrong!
Seriously, anyone worried about matching the pickups has too much time on their hands or cares more about the look than the sound. Black neck on a dark guitar (especially with a black pick guard) with a creme or zebra bridge pickup to me looks "right." Almost like it's not there.
I say rock on and look for some pink strings.
