Zendrive

Well if there is one thing this site has done to me over the years it has been to give me excuses to buy overdrive pedals. For years it was just guitar into amp, yes I had an old TS 10 but it hadn't seen light of day in years. So here I am today with the "modded' TS 10, SD Twin Tube Classic, Zendrive, OCD, Ulbrick 12AXE, FAt Sandwich, and Pork Loin. (Not to mention a Framptone 3-banger amp switcher so I could just use multiple amps if I chose). I could have made the excuse that several of my amps were one channel amps and the pedals were necessary but now with my boogie MK5 that really doesn't fly. Despite being fully aware that I have no need for another pedal I find myself continuing to buy more.
Currently I am using 3. THe Pork Loin is great for giving a very open sounding mild to moderate drive for classic rock and blues rhythm and leads. The Zendrive is still a pedal I can't put away it gives me smooth balance overdrive sounds for leads. The Fat Sandwich gives more "hair' for edgier leads and aggressive rock rhythm parts.
Here is a clip I did several years ago with the Zendrive through my MK II c+'s clean channel (recorded at very reasonable volume). I haven't seen much mention of this pedal lately so I though it was worth reminding folks.

(one of the other reasons I posted it again is because I changed my internet provider and can no longer can host my clips so I needed to try an alternate site . Hopefully souncloud will work, I see others on here using it.)

Re: Zendrive

I picked up a Zendrive recently. It is a very nice pedal (to me anyway). As with all pedals I think it plays better with some guitars and amps combinations than others.

Re: Zendrive

The Zendrive is a wonderful OD! And it uses a rather unique circuit, too!

Nice clip, too. Smoooth! :)

Re: Zendrive

zendrive will never leave my board
i cant believe how well it works with my H-H guitar, my P90-P90 guitar, and my S-S-S guitar ... retains their individual character nicely ... responds to volume knob tweaks amazingly ... its like a little amp before the amp

Re: Zendrive

The Zendrive and the Menatone Workingman Blues are my two favorite dirt boxes. They're different but each is tasty in its own way.
