Re: Zep, Page or tele fans. check this out

Thanks folks! I was told about the thread here(in all honesty, I didn't even know there was an SD Forum....) and just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the kind compliments.

Hey Jeff. Good to see ya here! Everything you've done that I've seen has always blown me away. I think your SRV clone puts the custom shop to shame...and that Page Tele is just nuts.

Re: Zep, Page or tele fans. check this out

that's one of the sweetest lookin' teles i've ever seen!!!

Re: Zep, Page or tele fans. check this out

That's an awesome looking Tele..Love the paint over the natural ash grain, but yet you still see the ash on the guitar...Thanks for sharing that with us..I think Page's was a 59?

That's cool as hell. Gives me an idea to find a beatup old Paul, the same color as Jimmy's 59, relic it the same, add the same pickups, and stencil his name on the beatup case. It's a lot of work, but what a great conversation piece!
Honestly, I want that case for your tele. I like the case almost as much as the guitar.

Re: Zep, Page or tele fans. check this out

Keep in mind that the bridge wasn't like the ordinary Tele bridge. It was made so that the strings load from the back side of the bridge (similar to a Les Paul), and not through the body as usual. Does it have that?

Re: Zep, Page or tele fans. check this out

"Miscellaneous hardware includes a vintage style 3 saddle bridge converted to a top loader setup using threaded saddles, just as the original was refitted to.Guitar is now a permanent top loader, back ferrules are now for cosmetic purposes only but there is no loss of sustain or tone in the slighest."

Thanks again.

If you'd like to see any of the other projects, I'd be happy to post some. Here's one shot of the SRV#1 Brian(ButNut) was mentioning and a few shots of some of the other projects I've done. Not trying to drum up biz or anything, I'm merely wanting to share the pics since you all seem nice and appreciative of the time and work involved in these and seem to dig them.

(This one's got Seymour Duncan pickups in it, 4 wire, configured to the hidden Jimmy Page push/pull set up but it's a copy of the Les Paul George Harrison had{more tonal options for possible Beatles tribute bands})

I'm actually going to be starting a JP Les Paul soon, with a $3000 LP I'm starting with.....GULP.... :smack: . Kind of daunting using something so expensive then beating it about! LOL

I'll be reproin'g the LP case too based on his flight case for his real LP. It should be a nice project.
