I loved my DSL when I had it, the perfect balance between a more vintage 800 tone, while still sounding modern. Great amp, make sure to try all the features of the different channels, I use to get great tone boosting the first channel and cranking it. The lead channel also has more gain than you could need

Congrats, let us know how you get on with it. I bought a used DSL 50 recently but I haven't had much playing time with it yet. Love the green channel in crunch mode - it's in the same ballpark as my JMP 2104. My only concern is whether I can find a lead boost setting in the red channel that works with the same EQ. Time will tell, and it seems there are mods that can be done to better align the two channels if necessary. Love the reverb.

I have one. I still haven't dialed in the tube combo that I like yet, but it shows real promise now. I clipped the C13 diode off the circuit board (I think that was the one) and it really gave the distortion channels their bass back. Almost too much bass, but I think a full set of Sovtek LPS pre tubes will fix that problem plus tighten things up a bit. I still need to get my hands on a pedal to switch channels... Great amp. I think you will love it.
I paid $250 for mine. It had a bad fuse in it due to crappy tubes. Slapped in new tubes and a fuse (roughly $100 spent) and snipped that pesky capacitor and it's awfully nice now. It's probably rude of me to gush about that deal, but I've never bought anything so good for so cheap. I've traveled far and wide with my old job and I ran into many sweet deals along the way, but I have never run across anything so good that cost me so little (other than the Arion tubulator of course).

I like my DSL50. I have the green channel dialed into a great clean tone right now. The clean channel on the DSL series amps is severely underrated, IMO.
The red channel is in the lead 1 position. I never found a lot of use for the lead 2 position... just a bit too much grain for my liking. I love being able to wind up that lead 1 to ~5... loud as hell but oh so sweet.
