I want something not sure what. It is down to these three i have a jcm 800 so I'm looking for the other side (cleaner). Beatles, petty, Setzer type sounds. I want that vibe. I know they are very different.
    Thanks

I made a clip about a month ago of my Vox AC15H1TV. Being a huge Tom Petty fan, I really dig the sound of the AC15, but first listen to the clip and see if the character of the amp is something that you're interested in.

Played one about 6 months ago when I had no money. I loved it! Just want to get something I'll keep more than a year. I'll check out the clip

I'd start by playing both but considering the Beatles used AC-30s I'd say the AC15 or the AC-30 would be your best bet.

            Never played an egnater tweaker.

But I love my AC15. I think it will do the Beatles and Petty very well. It's such a great amp. Loads of character.

I love that clip from That90sGuy. His is a handwired if I'm not mistaken.
Mine is just a standard Chinese made model. But still a great amp.

I just picked up the Vox ice 9 OD pedal, works freaking great with my Vox handwired. I wanted a bit more gain and this pedal does it right, very transparent its like having a extra gain stage

I love the AC15, but have to admit that the Tweaker is pretty awesome.

Re: Vox ac15 or egnater tweaker 15

Tough call as I've never really played a good AC15. I hav the Tweaker and it can do some pretty cool things I wish it had reverb though, I am going to outboard it thru the loop.

The stock tubes in both are probably for ****, the pre's in the Tweak are OK but the PT's **** the bed pretty quickly and I dropped in a pair of grey plate RCA 6v6's which seem pretty well suited to the amp. Lots of plate voltage so the Tweak will be a tube eater most likely unless you can find find some real robust NOS tubes, not sure how the AC will do. The nice thing with the Tweak is you can approximate AC, Fender and Marshall-esque tones pretty easily. Not sure I love the speaker in the Tweak but it is growing on me, I think I'd like something a little looser sounding maybe it just needs some more time, it doesn't get a ton of use. I have gigged it a few times with great results. I even got the chance to sit back and listen while someone else used it for some Beatles stuff, it wasn't dead on but still pretty convincing nonetheless.

I was working out a new tune on it the other day that is very Petty like and it was a lot of fun just busting the main part over and over, it defintiely had the feel.

                  Hope that helped a little.

I wanna add two amps to the discussion. I know they are different beasts.

Addition to above post. As I stated I'm looking for a completely different sound than my
Marshall. I have been listening to tons of Brian Setzer lately. I will use a jazzmaster or an epiphone with a gretch-like pickup.
                      Thanks

Go with the AC15 as long as it has the green back in it. Those sound really good.
I get weak in the knees at the sight of a vintage Fender amp!

The AC15s once broken in sound great though arent very clean with high output guitars but on the edge with single coils. I have known a few people with problems with Hot Rod series fenders (maybe this is resolved with the series 3 though not sure)
