  • SG w/P90s + Bassman breaking up = .....

    Sexiest blues tone ever.

    Just saying.

I'd imagine that it is certainly up there!

I love Bassmans. Great dry tone. But I wouldn't use one myself because they have no built-in effects. Ah needs me some built-in reverb at the very least, and I really prefer to have tremolo too. Those two effects are always there at least a touch when I play, if the amp has them. I prefer the sound of built-in reverb to even a bona-fide Fender Reverb unit.

I'd make an exception for a Vibro-Champ, though! Those sound great, and at least they have the tremolo.

I'd love to hear it. Then, I'd love to hear it with KT77s.
I am so close to retirement that I could play in a band full time. All I have to do is figure out what to use instead of money, improve my playing, learn some songs, and find some other musicians more talented than me who will do exactly as they're told. .

Nice. I can get a wicked AC/DC Malcolm Young tone out of just my LP Jr and my Custom Vibrolux Reverb.

Not a Silverface. I should know, I've got the same amp Andrew does.

Also, I don't believe he's using the regular Bassman cab. I've forgotten the name of the one he's using. It's that company that makes those badass metal amps.

EDIT: Oh wait, it's in his ****ing sig. It's a Framus.
