The simple but great sounding MXR Micro Flange.

I used to have a half dozen or more flangers and got out of using them however I did keep one...Deluxe Electric Mistress.

I love that flanger...I can get everything from a heavy chorus to a full on flanger not to mention the trademark EH madness from it.

Last year I did pickup a reissue Micro Flange in hopes of getting some of the MXR tones I used to have in my old AC powered MXR Flanger (that was stolen!) and to my surprise it sounds very close!!!
If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!

Boss BF-3. Gone is the annoying metallic sound that the BF-2 has
Really I found the BF-3 more metallic then the BF-2 but has heaps of cool sounds the BF-2 doesnt have and is still a cool pedal.

Using a BF-2 mainly for a super chorusy kinda sound (low manual, medium to high depth, medium speed, no res) although the more jetplane metallic thing is cool.

I have rocked MXR, Electric Mistress, and Ibanez FL-9. But the only I could not live without is the Guyatone MicroFlange FL-3.
It is very flexible and uses the old bucket brigade chips everyone yearns for.

                  here is a review:
                  http://http://guyatone.com/Pr_Go_Microeffects.php

The whole micro effect line was great. The od, distortion, chorus, flanger, and delay were all just great.
Great trades/transactions with checo, kjrocks (2x), ginoames (2x), guitarkid (2x), Ed Hunter, primo (2x), apar111, blueman335, King IzzO))), ArtieToo, lemonman, saladin, SAVAGE DISTORTION, surface54, and DonP. Excellent forum bros!

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I dont really rock a flanger very often but when I do I use the Paul Gilbert Airplane Flanger
                      Gravity...its just a theory

For my money, forget the flanger. Go with a phase shifter. MXR still hasn't been beaten.
