So, I just sold off my practice rig because it was gathering dust, but I figured since I got myself an iPhone might as well put it to use. I've been looking into interfaces and amp simulators. Which would you recommend? I'm looking for a couple of sounds and I guess I wouldn't mind having several different apps that do that specific sound a bit better overall. I'd love:
a) A good rawk sound, with plenty of crunch and booty, in good measures, hopefully that can be tamed or pushed a little bit. Think hot rod Marshall Plexi but on the lower gain end of that sound.
b) A good Fender-y, Deluxe Reverb-y sound.
Effects and integration with iOS Garageband would be pretty cool. As for interfaces, I see the ones that go with the Lightning/30-Pin connectors get less noise and better overall sound than the ones that go through the 1/8 jack. Which one would you guys recommend? Apogee JAM?
