    What's your standard on/off, true bypassing stomp switch actually called in proper electronics terms? Thanks.

      Most footswitches are DPDT, but a 3PDT will also do the job. You can use the "extra" pole for disconecting the battery when it's off (if you don't mind a slight "pop".

        To answer your question it is ..."double pole double throw on/on footswitch".

            I think you can just wire the LED in series when the switch is on so that you don't need the extra pole just for the LED.
