The last thing in the world that I need is any new amp type device, but this sure has piqued my interest. I think it sounds great, and I think the price point is right about where it should be. $500 seem reasonable to me.

I hear ya. That's why I have Sweetwater and Musicians Friend cards... so I can get stuff on 3-4 years 0% interest if I decide to get anything .... lol. I'm still debating on the Friedman. Not liking it at all....lol. I ran it straight into my audio interface just like I do my Kemper, Fractal, and Eleven Rack. I thought it sounded like crap. I didn't hear anything that I liked, and it didn't sound anything like those videos that I posted or that I've watched. I can't say as I'm a fan of it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't see how. Mind you, I didn't use the software or whatever you download, but I don't see how that could affect the sound that much.
